Some places do keep applications on their system for 60-90 days and when the position opens up they will call you. If its a small business or something along the lines of that, it wouldn't be a bad idea to call them back and show interest. In my opinion it shows drive and devotion, always good qualities when coming into a new job. Good luck

definitely. if the position has reopened and they are looking for another person, let them know you're still available.

yes. In fact it's good to check back on a job now and then because that way it shows your persuasiveness and if they ever have an opining your application is right at the front of the line.

yes ask them to check up on your application and theyll let you now if they reviewed it or not.

I have had people call and do that, but if you were not in the final interview then there isn't really a reason to call. If it was down to you or the other guy and you didn't get picked then it wouldn't hurt. But 9 out of 10 times their going to call the 2nd pick guy if it didn't work out.
