What can they do? Can they take out money from your bank or something? I mean good thing we have our ID's, but is there anything harmless a bad person can do with those information?

They can become you... identity theft. With your address they can rob you. With your debit card # they can steal from your accounts. With your name and social security they can get a driver's license in your name with their picture... they can take out loans and credit cards in your name.

Yes. You definatley want to call up the three bureaus so they can put an alert on your credit profile, you will also need to call your bank that issued you the debit card and request that debit card to be shut down and have them send you another one in the mail. It is also a good idea to monitor your credit because these scammers will apply for credit on your social, get mobile phones, and pretty much anything else you can do yourself. The bad thing is these scammers usually have access to people that can create fake id's and if they have your full information they can literally go in person and do pretty much you would be able to do. Again, call up the credit bureaus and let them know what has happened so that if anyone tries to use it they'll most likely be arrested on site. Check out the website below to read articles about identity theft and what can happen and the steps you can take to protect yourself from it happening.
