Looking at an apartment in Queens NY. This apartment is sooooooooo nice. It's actually a house! I would be on the top floor. Another tenant on the second. And the landlady lives in the basement.

She sounded really sweet.

years ago I rented a place and the landlady lived in the bottom floor.

had no problems. But still a tad apprehensive.

Anyone have any experiences to share. Don't want to pass on a great place just out of fear. And she will allow our pets as well!!!

thanks!

It is cool but don't think you will be free as if she was gone. Plus sometimes they are pissed about heating cost and electic bills and other money issues but if you pay your own and you don't break anything then it sounds okay.

Did you read the lease compare it to other ones and see how it is structured and how well it will hold up in court if need be also if you can find out why the last people left that will help.

If she is the landlord then she might have knowlege of fixing household items but never know that will be at your or her cost... She might pay for some but expect you to kick in also happened to us.
